My name is John and I have combined my love for running with my Degree to provide training plans for runners to help achieve their goals. I offer advice in helping to prevent and manage running injuries with exercise classes.Β

I derive great satisfaction from coaching people and conducting running classes on a weekly basis to help beginners and also train more advanced participants for marathons etc. I devise training plans for people competing at various levels for couch to 5k right through to disciplines like the marathon.

We also provide fitness classes for adults and children to help build and preserve fitness through the use of Pilates and strength and conditioning. These classes help to enhance performance, promote fitness and reduce injury by developing core strength, improving balance and control, correcting strength deficits and improving general mobility and flexibility.

RUNNING CLASSES

I have been a keen runner for the last 10 years or so. It started out has a hobby with the primary reason being stress relief. In the intervening years it has helped me look after my health both physically and mentally, it has also allowed me to build friendships with people and develop a keen interest in racing competitively and working towards goals like breaking 3 hours for a marathon.

The classes provide a platform for people to learn about the principles of running in terms of mechanics and performance which help to minimise the risk of injury and help improve performance. People learn to understand the sport and when to train and how to manipulate their own routine to maximize their own potential. The most important aspect of the class to help people to enjoy their running and understand the sport to help promote fitness and health.
